Our mission is to make high-quality wildlife reporting freely available to nature lovers, outdoor observers, and students of the natural sciences, so that decisions about the future of wild places can be made from evidence rather than assumption.
Editorial values
Every article is written or reviewed by a contributor with direct field experience. We prefer primary sources — peer-reviewed papers, ranger reports, and open observation datasets — over secondary summaries. When information is uncertain, we say so. When a species is at risk from disclosure, we withhold precise locations.
Who we serve
Our readers include naturalists, wildlife photographers, protected-area staff, educators, and travellers preparing for responsible visits to sensitive habitats. The platform is not commercial and is not funded by extractive industries.
The team
A small editorial team based across three continents coordinates a wider network of volunteer contributors. We publish under real bylines wherever contributor safety allows, and we welcome corrections at any time.
